EU ambassador says wine law to cost Russians 45 mln rbl/year
MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- The E.U. is very concerned about Russia’s recent amendments to the wine industry law that will result in deficit of European products in the local stores and can cost the consumers more than 45 million rubles per year, Ambassador of the E.U. Markus Ederer said on Thursday.
"The E.U. is very worried about the recent amendments to the law regulating the wine industry in the Russian Federation. As an E.U. ambassador to Russia, I think that it happened in the context of an unfair embargo against the E.U.," the official said.
He added that the E.U. will consult with the World Trade Organization (WTO) to analyze Russia's obligations to the organization and improve the situation.
